Dr. Aaron Amstutz

Dr. Amstutz joined the veterinary hospital after graduating veterinary school from Virginia Tech in 2007. Dr. Amstutz provides Large Animal and Small Animal care to our clients.

Dr. Daniel Oliver

Dr. Daniel Oliver was born and raised in Greencastle.  He attended undergraduate at Penn State, where he majored in Animal Bio-Science.  He completed his veterinary degree at Virginia Tech in 2011 and began working at Greencastle Veterinary Hospital directly after graduation. Dr. Oliver provides Large Animal and Small Animal care to our clients.

Dr. Daniel Cafarelli

Dr. Cafarelli joined the Greencastle Veterinary team in 2017.  He graduated from Virginia Tech with his DVM in 2012. Dr. Cafarelli provides Large Animal and Small Animal care to our clients.

Dr. Rodney Hess

Dr. Rodney Hess has been a part of the Greencastle Veterinary Hospital team since his graduation from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. Dr. Hess provides Small Animal care to our clients.

Dr. Erica Izer

Dr. Erica Izer grew up working at Greencastle Veterinary Hospital. She attended Penn State University majoring in Veterinary and Biomedical Science with a minor in Animal Science. She then attended Virginia Tech for veterinary school and upon graduation, worked in a clinic in Hagerstown. She rejoined the Greencastle Vet team in 2021. Dr. Izer provides Small Animal care to our clients.

Dr. Keith Long

Dr. Keith Long joined Greencastle Veterinary Hospital after graduation in 2022. Growing up working on several local dairy farms inspired his interest in veterinary medicine. After completing undergraduate credits at Hagerstown Community College and Shippensburg University, he completed his DVM from University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Long provides Large Animal and Small Animal care to our clients.

Dr. Logan Souder

Dr. Logan Souder worked at Greencastle Veterinary Hospital throughout her undergraduate and graduate years. She attended Wilson College majoring in Veterinary Medical Technology. She then attended Virginia Tech for veterinary school, and upon graduation joined Greencastle Veterinary Hospital in 2024. Dr. Souder provides Large Animal and Small Animal care to our clients.

Chanda L. Thompson

Chanda grew up in Waynesboro, PA and has been an avid animal lover since she was 5 years old. Bringing home orphaned kittens, possums and salamanders, her parents knew her calling would be with animals one day. Chanda started her education at Penn State University and later transferred to Penn Foster, where she received her degree for Veterinary Technician. Chanda practiced being a certified Veterinary Technician for several years, at a few Veterinary Hospitals in Hagerstown, MD and retired to Practice Manager in 2023, here at Greencastle Veterinary Hospital.
